Green Card Application status
Hello,
My brother filled paperwork for my green card 7-8 years ago.
I am still in process and I did not received any letter from INS yet.
My brother passed away 2 months ago, and I dont know what is status of my application.
My parents are in states but they have only green card,they are to old to learn english so they cant pass citizenship test.
Does anybody have any idea what is hapening with applications that are filled when beneficary die?

Unless you have another US Citizen brother or sister, your petition is void.
was it ever approved? if you are unmarried, you have to research priority date portability. Somebody mention it a couple of times on this forum. If your parents file for you, you MAY be able to use your brothers petitions priority date. It applies in very specific cases, and you have to find out if this is your case.
