Is joint account /letter from employer necessary?My husband is filling out the form I-130 and one of the requirements is to show bona fide of the marriage. I have the current lease with my husband for a year (joint tenancy). Is that sufficient? Do I need to show co-mingling of financial resources? We just opened joint account recently and it took 30 days to get the statement and there is not much money in it either. We have a couple of joint credit cards for buying furniture etc. but that is about it. Do we need to move some money into our joint account and wait till I get the bank statement to file all the forms? For I-864, is the letter from his emplyer necessary? Does that have to be the original one? Will a copy or a fax good for filing purpose?
You need some joint marriage life evidence. If you do not send it now, you can submit some at the interview (you will have to bring new evidence then anyways).
A copy/fax of the employment letter will do, but he needs the W2s and 1099s.
