thanks in advance. Dont quote me on this for I am not 100% sure.

Nevertheless, if you read I-864 I believe it says that you can use the income from the intending immigrant to meet the poverty guidelines as long as you are working legally and you can prove that that income will continue. Even if your husband (the USC) makes $0 now he still has to be your sponsor, and then add your income if you have docs to support it.

I was in the same situation. My wife is still a student and has a part time job but just missed the poverty guidelines (by $500) on her own. I alone receive from my parents abroad more than the poverty guidelines but since its bank transfers and I do not pay taxes on them we just took a US co-sponsor (her mom and dad).

thank you very much, constructus.

I sent my employment letter and recent three month pay stub, hope this will be ok.

I sent my employment letter and recent three month pay stub, hope this will be ok. No problem. Wait for the GURUs to give their take on this but I am telling you what I already saw here.

I hope you just specified everything in the form I-864 and put his income ($0) and in the intending immigrant income part put yours and put the total income. So they know exactly whats up.

Anyway, it should be fine since you seem to have proven that you will/expect continue making that money.
