Yes, but you can also file to remove conditions as well, assuming the marriage was real and not just to get a green card.

Why doesnt this person simply remove his/her conditions? After all, this person alrready has a GC!!!

This person is getting divorce before completing his 2 year. Infact he got GC 6 months ago. For the safe site can he apply through employment also so he doesnot worry about removing conditions alone.
