postpone interview- did anybody try?

Hi,

Help! The INS worked too fast for me! I received my interview notice 30 days after sending the application and I am scheduled for an interview in six weeks. I did not imagine that my application would be processed that quickly. My husband and I will be out of the country during the week of the interview and the trip will be hard to postpone. Does anybody have experience with postponing the Green Card Interview? Thanks.

Hi,
Dont worry, I had similar situation. We received the interview letter just 2 days after we bought flight tickets to visit my hometown out of US, and the interview date is 4 days after our departure date. We followed the instruction and sent a letter explained the situation and asked for reschedule. now, 3 months later we got a nother interview letter, and we will have the interview this Tursday!

Good luck and have a good time on your trip!
