Folks,

I have sponsored by mom. Even though I had included the info, they sent me back a RFE saying that I did not include the birth cert.

So since she doesnt have a birth cert - i had attached the non-availability cert along with 2 affidavits by relatives. In my original submission - i supplied them with copies - and now they have come back asking for the original

My question is that - the non-availability certificate for the BC was issued in india and was laminated. Does the INS in general accept laminated originals ??

If theyre asking for the originals (which seems odd, they usually dont), Im sure whether they are laminated or not will make no difference.
