Hi Everyone,
Our i-485 interview is on oct 17/06. our interview letter says to bring with us joint statements ,documents etc. but we dont have any :-( . i have not received EAD yet so I dont have a SSN. I was told that there are banks that let you open accounts without a SSN. Does anyone know of any such institution ?? Can anyone suggest any solutions to this problem ???
Thanks a ton

Thats a good question! Im in a similar situation (DO: Detroit). I purchased a new home the month before I met my husband and everything is in my name only (maiden name). Changing the deed to my house, the mortgage, insurance, some utilities, and property tax statements only a year into the purchase is both unrealistic and impractical. My husband is an F1 and doesnt have his Michigan drivers license, so no joint autos either

have your USC spouse put your name on your utility bills, & sign you up on same Cellular account,
Also have intending immigrant apply for an IRS http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96287,00.html
See attached for more ideas for support evidence.
Try bank of America... luckily they allowed em to open an account with ssn but they told me to go back to them once it get my ssn... goodluck
