Anyone can advise -- I got my green card but my first name is misspelled. DO you know what the process is to correct it and how long it takes? From what I have read, you have to through the whole process all over again...
Should I worry about one letter in my middle name?
Thanks

You can file I-90 to correct your name (e.g. to get a new green card). But, you would have to send your original green card. If it is their mistake, and you have proof that you entered your name correctly on I-485, then you wouldnt have to pay the application fee for I-90.
Apply on-line. It is much faster than by mail. Iam not sure how long it takes these days, though.
Good kuck!

Yesterday you had posted that you got your approval notice; I got the same approval notice. I take it that you received the card today.
DId the misspelling occur on the approval notice as well? Or was it just on the card? If the approval notice has the correct spelling, you can send them a copy of that as well to show them that it was the card people who messed up.
I am sorry, I should have mentioned that I got the actual card last night...Feb 17.
Yes, it was totally their fault. Based on my research, it looks like I would have to file a i-90 and then go through fingerprinting again, and they will send me my new card.
I would have to give them my currect card, which sucks as I was planning on traveling to Switzerland using it (that country doesnt require a visa if you have a GC). Plus, I dont know if it is a big deal that my middle name is off by one letter since my middle name is not even mentioned on my passport....
