Immigration Site

I read every day this forum for help and infos about the GC interview. But even that is maybe not enough, so I just wanted to recapitulate my list of documents that I will bring at the interview. If you find somethings wrong, please let me know :

- utility bills (original and copies) from 2003 to 2006, on both names;
- bank statement (original and copies) from when I open joint account with hubby (2005);
- car insurance policy (original and copies) from August 2005 till now, on both names;
- kidcare, medicare correspondence from 2001 and 2002 on my name;
- originals and copies and translations of birth certificates (for me and my son), ss cards, passports, old and new, I-94, husbands certificate of naturalization plus copy of it, his passport, bc of daughter (us born)
- copies and originals of tax years 2002, 2003 and 2004 (we did not yet did taxes for 2005);
- paystubs from hubbys employments and proof of employment letters from employers;
- documents from sons school showing address and other proof hubby is the second parent (for emergency purpose);
- photo albums, I have about 10 albums to bring (small and big). Should I bring everything, by the way ?
- originals and copies of co-sponsors tax years (2003, 2004 and 2005) just in case !! , plus certificate of naturalization. Now my question is, because he files jointly with his spouse, do I need also her to file a I-864 ? and bring her certificate of nat. also ???
- some papers (like mortgage, where my initials stands) and title transmittal of the house with both our names. I couldnt sign every paper because of my out-of-status situation at that time, but our real estate attorney insisted I put my signature and initials on some of them !
- letters from me to my hubby from 1998 and 1999, greeting cards from family on both names;
I think thats it ! If somethings wrong or if I forgot a document, PLEASE let me know. Better be well prepared, right ?

Ema..the interview letter you must have recv. by now has a checklist that is really very helpful..and you dont have to take utility bills from last three yrs..you can take last three months plus the very first one to show that thats when you both have been on it together..same with other proofs..talking abt photos..just take ur wedding pics where you are there with family (both his and urs) and some other pics with friends in it and a few alone..you wouldnt need more than 15 pics in total..

Don’t forget driver’s licenses, since it’s one of the first things they ask to see during the interview. For utilities bills is better to have a first one and two last. Same with the checking account.
Take couple of albums and have some loose photos (in a brag-book or an envelope) for them to pick some for the file. They might not even look inside your albums, but will note that you have it all.
Everything else on your list looks good to me.

Jane, you "opened my eyes" on something I didnt know ! If I get a co-sponsor, that means he will have to be sponsor of all 4 of us + his family (wife and 2 children) . At the end, that means he needs to meet requirements for 8 people !! Wow ! I just learned something today ! So the income would be $ 40, 483 !! Ooopppsss ! Hopefully, thatll be enough !
