Immigration Site

Im applying for a spouse visa at the London embassy.
Their helpful advice line said that the processing should be done 12 weeks from submission. Now with 3 weeks of that left theyve decided it wont be done for another 5 months if im lucky.
Now Im in England and my wife of a little over 2 years is in Rhode Island. And it looks like its going to stay that way for quite a while.

Im posting this in the hopes that someone can help me get over there in less time. Im told the K3 visa would be pointless, but again by the helpline.
I just need some way of getting to the US, and hopefully working (New England is a big BioTech hub and my degrees in Biochemistry) and waiting for this visa to get finished.

This may be a long shot but Id appreciate any help.
