Where Do I file ?
Hi All,
This forum sounds very informative. I am new to this forum. I am just getting ready to file for I-485 for my husband. I have a question which may sound real silly. But here it is, Where do I file? In the instruction of the form it says "I should file at the INS office having jurisdiction over my place of recidence." Now how do I find that out? I tried googling on that but got more confuse.
Anyone can help? Please.

Find your state and clink on it’s link. If there are more then one city listed under your state, then choose the closest one you live to and click on its link. Read the paragraph “Service Area” to make sure they serve your county.

your husbands 485 has to be filed in same service center as ur pending 485.
